The chapter serves as a platform for learning, networking, and professional growth through student driven initiatives. Its vision is to inspire and empower students to become future leaders in computer science and information technology. By providing exposure to cutting edge research, hands on learning experiences, and community engagement, ACM RBU nurtures technical excellence

The chapter actively promotes interest in computer science and allied disciplines. It encourages student led technical events, workshops, and hackathons to enhance practical skills. What is ACM RBU Student Chapter?

ACM RBU Student Chapter is the official student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery at RBU University. We are a community of technology enthusiasts dedicated to advancing computing as a science and profession.

Our chapter provides students with opportunities to learn, grow, and network through workshops, hackathons, seminars, and collaborative projects with industry professionals.

How can I become a member?

Campus Interviews are held . By giving this interview and qualifying successfully you can be a part of our chapter.

Are there any membership fees?

Basic membership to ACM RBU Student Chapter is FREE for all students. However, we encourage members to also join the international ACM organization for additional benefits.

What kind of events do you organize?

We organize a diverse range of events throughout the academic year:

  • Workshops: Hands-on training on technologies like web development, AI/ML, cloud computing, etc.
  • Hackathons: 24-48 hour coding marathons with prizes and mentorship
  • Guest Lectures: Industry experts sharing insights and career guidance
  • Coding Competitions: Test your skills in competitive programming
  • Study Groups: Collaborative learning sessions on various tech topics
  • Networking Events: Connect with alumni and industry professionals
Do I need to be a Computer Science student to join?

Absolutely not! ACM RBU welcomes students from ALL majors and backgrounds. Whether you are a computer science student or a student from any branch you can be a member of our group.

We believe that technology intersects with every field, and diverse perspectives make our community stronger. Many of our successful members come from non-CS backgrounds!

How can I get involved beyond attending events?

There are many ways to actively contribute to ACM RBU:

  • Join one of our teams (Technical, Events, Design, Publicity,Digital Media, Content )
  • Lead or mentor in workshops and study groups
  • Apply for leadership positions during annual elections
  • Contribute to chapter projects and initiatives
  • Help organize events and hackathons
  • Create content for our blog and social media

We're always looking for enthusiastic members to take on responsibilities and grow their leadership skills!
